Strawberry Fields High School Exhibition

For one week in December, the halls of Strawberry Fields High School became a gallery of living heritage. Phulkari that had been embroidered in village courtyards travelled to a new audience — students, families and visitors who came to look and stayed to learn.

The exhibition was never only about display. Each piece carried the story of its maker, and every sale returned value directly to the artisan collectives at the heart of Project Qala. By the time the doors closed on 24 December, the showcase had raised ₹2 lakh in support of dignified artisan livelihoods.

More than the sum, it was the encounter that mattered: a generation of young people meeting the makers behind the craft, and a group of women artisans seeing their work valued, named and celebrated in a room full of strangers who had become admirers.
